The network of small diverse communities that make up the metropolis of Los Angeles has always fascinated Lynn Coleman. She has spent fifty years observing, chronicling and documenting these enclaves in a series of narrative paintings attempting to capture the rich history, the bright sense of color and the playfulness of Southern California.
